Cable: Table of Contents
8 July 2007
This is my novel for the 2006 National Novel Writing Month that is entitled Cable. The goal of 50,000 words was never threatened as I finished the month of November with a mere 10,000 words. I kept on writing afterwards because it was fun and I've now gone over 20,000 words and am about halfway through the actual story.
Though to say I'm halfway through the story is a little odd to say considering that I don't actually know where I'm going. In fact, the thought of actually trying to finish the story AND stay true to something resembling logic hurts my head.
OK, before you read - it's really bad. I have no respect for the laws of grammar at all and in all honesty, nothing of importance is ever written - it's all just for fun. So, what's it about? Well some important guy dies in a small town called Cable and police officer Amber Sandles investigates along with her partner Zeverin. Private investigator Harry Simmons is also hired to investigate but he just gets drunk with his vampire friend Sir Lollipop. Bored with her life in Cable, high school student Lulu attempts to make her life exciting. Pete and Ian are in trouble with the local mafia. Lady Anika starts a vampire revolution and two mice Mustard and Lettuce look to escape the sewers for green fields. That's a lot of different characters for a pretty short novel.

A reliable source tells me that there will be philosophical vampires. Is this true? We're all waiting for your next chapter.
Epicurus! Very cool. I on the other hand, have made negative progress:

Starting over is fun!
Have you written anything more yet?
I like the new colour scheme, but what's with the misinformation?
"contrary to popular opinion, crazy people don't make the greatest leaders."
Crazy people make fantastic leaders. Look at… um… Hey, would you like a hot cup of rooibos?
